Before you start

Check both devices first.

Parent phone: Android 14 or newer. Use your parent Google account. This Android APK cannot install on iPhone or iPad.

Child tablet: Android 14 or newer. It also needs managed QR support. Check setup help before resetting.

Back up before a reset. Save photos and files and check Google account recovery. A factory reset erases local data.

How to install the Android APK
  1. Download Nesty Parent on your compatible Android parent phone, then open it from your browser's Downloads.
  2. If Android asks, open Settings and allow installs from the browser or Files app you used. Return to the download and tap Install.
  3. Open Nesty Parent and sign in with your parent Google account. You can turn that install permission off again afterward.

If Android says the app is incompatible, check the phone's Android version in Settings → About phone. For any other block, open setup help with the exact message.

Setup instructions

Start on the parent phone, then prepare the child Android tablet.

Nesty Parent creates the family first. Nesty Child Tablet is then added as the controlled Android tablet app and activated through the family subscription.

  1. Install Nesty Parent Scan the QR code or tap Download Nesty Parent APK on the parent phone.
  2. Create the family Sign in, add your child profile, and pick the starting rules in Nesty Parent.
  3. Prepare the child Android tablet Back up photos and files and check account recovery before a reset. At the first welcome screen, tap the same spot six times before Google sign-in. Connect to Wi-Fi when asked and scan the install QR from Nesty Parent.
  4. Review the screens Enter the family link code on the child tablet. Review schedules, app lanes and KidTube, finish tablet permissions, then test the rules before handover.
