Kickstarter preview

Help launch a calmer Android tablet for kids.

Nesty turns a child tablet into a protected home screen with schedules, reward timers, parent PIN controls, KidTube access, and a plan for ad-free learning apps that connect reading, mathematics, and general learning to each child’s reward profile.

Nesty is currently in testing. User support is available, but families should use it at their own risk until the full release is complete.

What backers help finish

Nesty already has a working Android app, protected tablet mode, parent setup flow, and live APK delivery. Kickstarter should help build the founder customer base needed to reach $10,000 in monthly recurring revenue and support Nesty as a long-term family product.

01 Device compatibility pass

Test the reset and managed setup flow across common Android tablets before the full release.

02 Parent support package

Finish setup guides, troubleshooting, launch support scripts, and device-specific notes.

03 Timer enforcement hardening

Keep closing apps correctly when schedules or earned reward time expire.

04 Safe video polish

Improve KidTube playlists, recent videos, and clear locked states for kids.

05 Privacy and release review

Review data flows, permissions, and store-readiness material before wider launch.

06 Recurring launch base

Convert founder interest into paid family plans that can keep support, QA, and development moving after the campaign.

What makes Nesty different

Nesty is being built around a simple principle: learning time should not be paid for with adverts, tracking, or noisy engagement loops. The long-term product is a controlled tablet with child learning apps connected directly to each child’s reward profile.

01 Ad-free learning apps

Reading, mathematics, and general learning apps are planned as Nesty-owned experiences, not ad-supported distractions.

02 Reward profile connection

Learning progress can feed into the same reward scheme parents already use for chores, schedules, and earned app time.

03 Child-first design

The tablet should feel calm and purposeful, with fewer external links, fewer popups, and fewer ways to drift away from the task.

04 Parent-visible progress

Parents should be able to see whether reward time is coming from real learning effort, reading practice, maths work, or household routines.

Choose a backer tier

These rewards keep fulfilment focused on software access, setup help, and founder participation. Kickstarter pledges are one-time, but the goal is to prove enough demand to grow into $10,000/month in recurring revenue after launch.

How $10,000/month changes Nesty

Recurring revenue is what keeps Nesty useful after launch. The target supports ongoing engineering, device testing, family onboarding, privacy review, customer support, and a contingency for tablet-specific issues.

35% Android engineering and release hardening
18% Tablet compatibility lab and repeat QA
15% Founder onboarding and support time
10% Privacy, policy, and store-readiness review
10% Billing, payment, and operating costs
12% Contingency for device issues and delayed fulfilment

Launch roadmap

The delivery plan is intentionally conservative. Nesty needs careful tablet testing, clear support materials, and a sustainable subscriber base before founder families are asked to rely on it every day.

  1. Now Private testing and campaign preparation

Continue tablet QA, collect screenshots, fix blocker bugs, and prepare the campaign video.

  2. Month 1 Founder campaign

Run the 30-day campaign, answer backer questions, and publish weekly progress toward the recurring revenue target.

  3. Month 2 Founder beta

Invite early backers into guided setup, test more tablets, and lock the support workflow.

  4. Month 3 to 4 Recurring launch plan

Deliver rewards, publish final setup guidance, and invite founder families into the recurring plans that support Nesty long term.

Risks and how we will handle them

Backers should know what is already working, what still needs testing, and where Android tablet differences can affect delivery.

Android setup varies by tablet

We will publish supported-device notes and keep the reset-and-install path as the primary supported launch method.

Timer enforcement must be reliable

Schedule and reward expiry will keep getting repeat QA because the product only works if time limits are enforced.

Support volume may spike

Reward tiers include realistic delivery windows and the higher-touch setup calls are capped so support can stay healthy as recurring plans begin.

Store approval can take time

The campaign should promise access to Nesty, not a guaranteed store date, until review requirements are complete.

What happens after you back

Backers will receive build updates, supported-device notes, setup guidance, and reward delivery details as the project moves from private testing into founder access and recurring family plans.

  1. Follow the campaign and choose the reward tier that matches your family or pilot group.
  2. After a successful campaign, founder updates will explain the release schedule, supported tablets, setup requirements, and recurring plan options.
  3. Early-access families will receive setup instructions before they are asked to install Nesty on a child tablet.
  4. Support-heavy tiers will be scheduled in small batches so each family gets enough setup time while the recurring customer base grows.
  5. If the project does not reach its Kickstarter goal, backers are not charged.
