Start Here
- Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop.
- Keep the tablet on Android 14 or newer.
- Factory reset the tablet before trying QR setup again.

Fix QR Setup
Use this page if the tablet does not finish QR setup. Android 14 or newer and internet access on the tablet are required.
If the parent phone install is missing, install Nesty on the parent phone first, then return to QR setup.
Open The QR Scanner
- On some tablets, tap the first welcome screen 10 to 15 times quickly.
- Do that before Google sign-in starts.
- If the scanner does not appear, return to the first welcome screen and try again.
Managed Device Screens
- Android may say the tablet is managed and not private.
- That wording comes from Android's managed setup flow.
- Continue through that step so Nesty can finish the handoff.
If The Tablet Is Already Managed
- If another owner is already on the tablet, Android normally blocks full lock-down until the tablet is factory reset.
- If QR setup finishes but Nesty does not take over, use the Play app version for now.
Still Stuck
- Capture the exact last screen text.
- Send the tablet make and model to Nesty support.
- Use the parent app to finish family setup, then retry the child device later.
